What does a Customer Service Representative do?
A Customer Service Representative, or CSR, will act as a liaison, provide product/services information, answer questions, and resolve any emerging problems that our customer accounts might face with accuracy and efficiency.
Responsibilities often include:
1. Responding to customer inquiries via phone, email, chat, or in person.
2. Providing information about products or services, including pricing, availability, and features.
3. Resolving customer complaints or issues in a timely and satisfactory manner.
4. Processing orders, returns, refunds, or exchanges.
5. Maintaining accurate records of customer interactions and transactions.
6. Collaborating with other departments to ensure customer satisfaction.
7. Following company policies and procedures, including confidentiality and data security guidelines.
8. Continuously striving to improve customer service processes and procedures.
Requirements and skills
Proven customer support experience or experience as a Client Service Representative
Track record of over-achieving quota
Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening
Familiarity with CRM systems and practices
Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
High school diploma
Overall, the goal of a customer service role is to ensure a positive customer experience and build long-term relationships with clients.
